ZUMBA!!

We are pleased to announce the addition of Zumba to our class offerings!

Come join us in a special ‘Spotlight’ class on Saturday July 28th

10:00am – 11:00am

What is Zumba?

Pretty much the most awesome workout ever. Dance to great music, with great people, and burn a ton of calories without even realizing it. 

Zumba is a Latin-style dance class (including salsa, merengue, cha-cha, cumbia, soca and samba), combined with hip hop and reggaeton, as well as international styles of dance like bellydancing, flamenco, Bollywood and African.

You can expect a lot of dancing, but don’t worry if you have no idea what you’re doing at first. It definitely gets easier the more often you attend class. Just watch the instructor, try the same moves, and have fun! 

You will burn a TON of calories with the constant movement. Be sure to wear comfy shoes and bring a towel, it’s a workout!

Our instructor is Linda Williams. Linda is a past Sports Aerobics Champion, and was awarded Ms. Fitness Hollywood and Ms Fitness LA. in the 90’s. In addition, she created taught, and perfected the winning dance routine for the 2nd place National Dance Champion at Stars National Dance competition in 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Today she uses her talents to develop amazing Hip Hop/Zumba style dance fitness classes that are easy to follow and torch calories!! You will have so much fun you won’t realize how hard you worked or where the time went! 

This spotlight class is to welcome Linda and give everyone who has ever wanted to try Zumba a chance to dance. Come and check it out for free and bring friends!

Balance and Stretch Class Added

Join us for a spotlight class on Wednesday, May 23 at 8:45am for a new Balance and Stretch class hosted by certified personal trainer Steve Reece.

This class is for anyone wanting to improve core strength, balance, and flexibility.

This class will be added to the regular schedule starting in June on Wednesdays, 8:45am – 9:45am.

Free Hatha Yoga Class!

Come join us on Sunday April 22, 2018 for a Free Hatha Yoga class!

Certified Yogi Sasha Denjis will be leading an hour of Hatha yoga in our Workout Room. Hatha yoga improves core strength, balance and flexibility with a meditative environment that will allow for improvement of mental relaxation. Hatha yoga classes include include asanas, breathing techniques and meditation. Perfect for beginners or those who wish to advance or deepen your practice.

Benefits of a regular Hatha yoga practice
– Makes the body stronger and more flexible.

– Release tension and trauma stored in the body.

– Calms the mind.

– Creates space in body and mind and in that space you find ‘balance’ and the opportunity for spiritual growth.
